Roland Murphey is the founder for RGM. He was born in the United States. Already from the start of the company RGM produces timeless classics watches based on the Swiss watch making tradition. The Swiss watchmakers sold their complicated watch movements and watch making expertise to Roland MurphyAfter acquiring this knowledge Roland is marketing his exclusive collection of custom-designed, mechanical timepieces with high-quality complications in the same fashion.

History of the RGM Brand

Unlike many modern watch brands, the founder of the brand and creator for the designs is alive. Like the company is stating on their website he is also willing to personally educate and inform consumers about his creations.
As loved by the most watch collectors, the RGM watches are only produced in extremely small series of 18k yellow or rose gold, platinum, and stainless steel. The cases for the watches are even hand-finished cases and contain elements like engine-turned (guilloche) dials and blued-steel hands. Most of the components used in the RGM watches are still Swiss made. But there are RGM models that feature original American components. Since the models are very limited, each model contains its own unique number and is signed. This makes the watches even more popular on the watch collectors around the world.



Featured with complex movements

RGM watches are not just like all the other luxury watch brands. Some of the RGM watches feature very complicated movement such as a Minute Repeating Perpetual Calendar, a Tourbillon, an Automatic Chronograph with Moonphase and a rose gold Skeleton Chronograph.
